NKCA Club Knives Text Descriptions
The very first NKCA club knife was issued in 1975. It is a Kissing Crane Anglo-Saxon whittler pattern,
with the large blade folding between the two smaller blades. This knife has genuine stag handles,
measures 4 1/2 inches closed, and the right front bolster is serialized. The shield is the old style
bow-tie design with “NKC & DA”, which stands for National Knife Collectors and Dealers Association.
This was later changed to the NKCA prior to 1980. The large blade is etched “1 of 1200”, the front
tang reads “NKC & DA”, and the rear tang reads “Solingen Germany” with the logo of two cranes kissing.
This is one of the rarest and most highly collected NKCA knives ever produced. The original selling
price was $12.00.

The 1989 NKCA club knife, the first year that alternative choices were offered. This also is the first ever
fixed blade knife offered by the NKCA as a club knife. This is a Buck skinner knife with wood handles,
aluminum buttcap and handguard, and comes with a leather sheath. The buttcap is stamped with the serial
number. The knife is 8 inches long overall, with a 4 1/16 inch long blade that is etched with the NKCA
